The Complex spreads across an area of 60 hectares. Here,
the Greenfield project has 4x100 m.t.p.d. capacity. A
10 mega watt Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) is generated
from consuming the emerging waste gases in the manufacturing
of Sponge Iron. This power generation plant, contributes
significantly in reduction of carbon footprints.
With the highest credit of being registered with the
United Nations, Geneva for carbon credit this power
is generated with a Go-Green concept.
AREVA, an international organization has offered technological
solutions for carbon-free energy for this project. The
power plant consumes process waste gases generated during
the DRI production. A new
power project yielding around 70 mega watt power will
be in operation by the second quarter of 2011.To add
value ,the Group has employed a state of the art technology
known as CFBC (Circulating Fluidised
Bed Combustion) in order to maximize the utilization
of raw materials and at the same time limit carbon footprint.
